Our firm offers expertise in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) methods, including mediation and arbitration, both in our capacity as client representatives in such forums, as well as when serving as actual neutral third party mediators and arbitrators.
We represent clients in ADR forums in a variety of circumstances, including when our client’s contract includes a mandatory mediation and/or arbitration clause, the presiding court encourages or requires it, or when we recommend to a particular client to use one of these procedures after a dispute has arisen. ADR is often a better method than traditional litigation to handle disputes because it can significantly reduce not only the time to resolution and thus the associated legal and other costs, but also negative publicity, while providing some degree of control over the outcome.
We have many lawyers from our litigation department who regularly represent clients in ADR proceedings. We also have several attorneys that are both experienced arbitrators and mediators, including the head of our ADR practice, Adv. Zvi Zylbertal (of counsel), a renowned Israeli jurist who served as a judge on the Supreme Court of Israel (between 2012 and 2017), capping off a judicial career of [more than two decades] on the bench.
