Our Media and Telecommunications group consists of a multi-disciplinary team of attorneys with extensive expertise in all aspects of media and telecommunications law. We assist our international telecoms and media clients in navigating through complex regulation, commercial matters, broadcasting rights, licensing and information technology law, and also represent them in various legal disputes.  In fact, members of our team have appeared before the Israeli Supreme Court on behalf of media and telecom clients more than one hundred times!

The Ephraim Abramson & Co. media and telecoms group is also particularly strong in transactional, regulatory and government-relations work, and advises on the full range of regulatory and licensing issues (with a sub-specialty in cross-ownership issues), contractual matters, public authorities, telecommunications networks, service providers and data protection/privacy issues.

In addition to regulatory and advisory work, we are experienced in joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and financing and restructuring of telecommunications, cable, and broadcasting entities.

Our Israeli and international clients include major industry players, as well as start-up/niche enterprises, private equity funds, and government and public sector entities. For several decades we represented the Second Television and Radio Broadcast Authority and the Ratings Committee. In addition, we have provided legal services regarding transactional and regulatory work (primarily with the Ministry of Communications) relating to fixed-line, fiber-optic cable, submarine cable, satellite, and internet telecommunication systems for companies such as: Cellcom, Bezeq International, Partner Communications Ltd., IDB Development Corporation Ltd and The Most Group. Our firm’s clientele include major communications companies, among them the Public Broadcasting Corporation and Google, as well as print and digital media concerns, such as Mishpacha Magazine.
